Romantic Weekend in Granada

Granada is the perfect destination for a romantic weekend because of its many beautifully restored colonial buildings, its magnificent settling at Lake Nicaragua and at the foot of Volcano Mombacho. Program

Day 1 (Friday)
Individual arrival to Granada or organized transfer from Liberia to Granada
After checking in your hotel, an English speaking guide welcomes you. When you take the welcome drink he is informing you about Granada. Later you go for dinner in the stylish restaurant Mediterraneo, which is in the center of Granada. We reserve for you a table in its magnificent court yard (dinner not included in the price).

Day 2 (Saturday)
Guided city tour by horse carriage – Volcano Masaya – Isla Zopango – Granada
Your day begins with a city tour by horse carriage. The carriage leads you through pittoresks streets and you receive a good overview of the magnificent colonial city Granada. You just take one stop to visit the La Polvora fortress.
Afterward the guided city tour continues by foot. You see the most important and interesting sights in the center of the city as the Convent & Museum San Francisco and the Casa de los Tres Mundos. Your guide informs you about the interesting history of Granada.

After lunch, you visit Volcano Masaya National Park. Enjoy the impressive view in a still active crater and climb to the cross on the summit next to the crater in order to enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. 

After returning to Granada, you have some time to relax before a driver brings you to the port of Asese. There you go on board of a private boat and enjoy the trip along the “Isletas” (small islands) at twilight. These 350 islands have their origin in an eruption of Mombacho Volcano thousands of years ago. You are shipped to the island “Zopango” where you have dinner in an atmospheric ambiance. You have enough time to relax and to enjoy the tranquility and nature of this unique place. At moonlight, you return to the port of Asese and to your hotel.

Day 3 (Sunday):
Granada – Departure
After breakfast, you have some time to go for a stroll around town until you leave the city by organized transfer to Liberia or on your own. Ask the Tour Operator ORO Travel for arrival/departure from/to San José, the extension of your trip in Granada or maybe a connecting program to other destinations in Nicaragua.
